The work will consist of Piping improvements to various areas of the Rocky River Waste Water Treatment Plant including: 1. Installation of new 8” dewatered cake piping at dryer facility to facilitate a second truck loading bay, including pipe supports, ancillary plug valves and associated appurtenances. 2. Re-routing of existing 24” wet-weather equalization piping from bar screen influent channel to pump station influent channel, including pipe supports and ancillary appurtenances. 3. Replacement of buried 8” digestor aeration piping with above ground 8” aeration piping including pipe supports and ancillary appurtenances.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum or unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

The pre-bid conference will be a non-mandatory, hybrid in-person (with virtual option), meeting held at the RRWWTP located at 369 Johnson Dairy Rd, Mooresville, NC 28115 with virtual option on Microsoft Teams through the link below, starting at 1:00pm local time on July 9, 2025. Immediately following the pre-bid conference there will be a site visit portion where in-person attendees will be toured around the areas of prospective work. There will be no virtual attendance option for the site visit portion.

Attendance at pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Instructions to Bidders – For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

Bids may be held by the Town of Mooresville for a period not to exceed ninety one (91) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating qualifications of bidders. The Town also reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities or technicalities as it may deem to be in its best interest.
